It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products at affordable prices. The global e-commerce business team hopes to provide users with a more tailored, active, and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive stable and reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, and short video content e-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Internships at ByteDance aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in August/September 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following fall internship start dates below: Monday, August 11 Monday, August 25 Monday, September 8 Monday, September 22 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Responsibilities: This internship provides students the opportunity to: - Develop efficient and highly reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications for e-commerce products. - Code optimization to improve scalability, reliability, security and performance of web applications. - Collaborate with product design, product management and software engineering teams to deliver best in class user experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline - Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025 - Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment. - General familiarity and interest in frontend development, including: Languages: JavaScript/Typescript/HTML/CSS Frontend frameworks: React/Vue/Angular Packaging frameworks: Webpack/Rollup/BaBel/AST/Gulp - Familiar with key concepts like functional and asynchronous programming, closures and types, layouts, specificity, animation, cross browser compatibility, data security and accessibility. - General understanding of multi-tier application architecture and protocols, familiarity with product and software development lifecycle process. Preferred Qualifications: - Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship. - Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver. - Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications. - Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $45.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
