About Global Payment The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. Our Web and Client team in Global Payment is committed to building a highly integrated payment product that can be easily connected to the Web, App, cross-platform and other forms of Global Payment capabilities. In addition, we provide efficient and comprehensive services to developers, merchants and others through a series of platforms. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at ByteDance aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to ByteDance and its affiliates' jobs globally. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period. Successful candidates must be able to commit to either of the following Internships - From January to June (onboard by 12 Jan 2026) - From May to August (onboard by 11 May 2026) Candidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in ByteDance's technical online assessment. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain efficient and reusable front-end code using React.js; - Build modular, reusable components and front-end libraries; - Collaborate with backend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic; - Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability; - Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs; - Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes; - Work closely with product design, product management, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline; - Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js; - Familiar with state management libraries (e.g., Redux) and front-end tooling (e.g., Webpack, Babel); - Basic understanding of backend technologies, including Node.js, Express, and RESTful APIs; - Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git; - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; - Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership; - Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced and culturally diverse team environment.
