Responsibilities Lead the research, development, and implementation of multimedia quality monitoring systems for video-on-demand (VOD), images, live streaming, and real-time communication to increase efficiencies and enhance user satisfaction. Conduct cutting edge research on the application of video analysis and quality assessment algorithms tailored for various application scenarios, including general video quality assessment, compression artifact evaluation, and content classification. Apply an advanced understanding of video content technologies to research and implement encoding strategies, transmission methods, and playback algorithms optimized for superior quality-of-experience (QoE). Collaborate with internal scientists and engineers to devise and examine research questions, analyze results and solve complex technology problems. Draft technical contributions, patent applications and academic papers. Manage and mentor junior-level scientists and interns.
Qualifications
Qualifications Must have a PhD degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: End-to-end multimedia transmission; audio and video encoding and decoding; and multimedia quality assessment; Designing and implementing machine learning (ML) models and algorithms and deploying them in mobile devices and web servers, using PyTorch, TensorRT, or ONNX; Working across all phases of the software development lifecycle for the design, development, and testing of software using C, C++, Python, data structures, or algorithms; Using advanced model techniques and algorithms, including Diffusion Models and Large Language Models (LLMs); and Using SQL or Python to perform data analysis including regression, classification, clustering, and machine learning. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $208800 - $438000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
