ByteDance is seeking a stellar Collections Manager to join our Singapore office. In this role, you will be driving ByteDance's cash flow by managing the end-to-end Invoice-to-Cash process for our largest and most strategic clients across Asia. We serve as trusted strategic advisors to the business, ensuring financial discipline and maximizing working capital. Our core mission involves pioneering creative, root-cause solutions to complex, product-agnostic payment blockers and continuously optimizing collection strategies across ByteDance's entire suite of monetizable products. As a Collections Manager, you will lead and empower a high-performing team responsible for overseeing the critical Invoice-to-Cash operations. Your primary focus will be on strategy development, process governance, and business enablement. Team Introduction: The role sits in Global Revenue Management ("GRM") and is part of the ByteDance Finance function. GRM is responsible for revenue management and accounting for monetization of all ByteDance products via the following processes: running the Order to Cash ("OTC") cycle, establishing and integrating business-finance platforms together and revenue accounting. Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership: You will set the collections strategy, manage the performance of a high-value customer portfolio, or cluster of countries, which includes ByteDance's most strategic Ads and SaaS partners. - Relationship builder: Provide ongoing consultation and support to our key clients and stakeholders on questions related to ByteDance's collections policies and processes. - Process Optimization & Risk Mitigation: Drive the continuous evolution and optimization of collections processes and tools to enhance efficiency, reduce outstanding debt, and mitigate financial risk at scale. - Cross-Functional Influence: Act as the senior point of contact and trusted financial partner to Sales leadership and Sales Support teams, utilizing data-driven insights to influence financial policies, drive disciplined collection behaviors, and safeguard ByteDance's cash flow objectives. - Team Development: Provide coaching, mentorship, and development for associates, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and exceptional operational rigor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s): - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline. - Extensive experience in collections, with a minimum of 4+ years' experience in invoicing and billing setup within Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes. - Deep understanding of collection practices in the Asia-Pacific market and familiarity with the workflow of the debt collection business and proficiency in debt collection techniques. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to effectively engage with Chinese stakeholders based in Chinese-speaking markets. - Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with a high sense of responsibility and integrity. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of discretion when handling confidential information. Preferred Qualification(s): - Familiarity with the digital advertising, media or technology industry across the Asia-Pacific region. - Experience working with high-risk clients and advertising agencies. - Demonstrated sound judgment in complex financial situations, with the ability to identify financial risks and ensure non-compliance. - Proven ability to influence others and deliver results through sound business judgment.
