Responsibilities

Team Introduction: High ethical standards and a culture of integrity will play a pivotal role in achieving the vision of the Ethics Office. The Ethics Office was created to guide ethical leadership and decision making; develop, educate, and raise awareness of internal policies; and lead and manage investigations. The Ethics Office is looking for an outstanding law, communications or marketing student in their final years of university or a post graduate for a 6-12 month internship to support the development and production of content assets for internal marketing, communications and training activities. The foundation is being able to understand the communication needs of our employee audience, and turn them into ideas, designs, concepts, and communication plans to support employee communications and activities to strengthen the ethical culture at ByteDance. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period. Responsibilities: - Develop engaging content for internal communication channels, including internal social media platforms, to amplify the Ethics Office’s messages and initiatives. The ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely is essential. - Support creative ideation and planning of internal communication campaigns — including brainstorming, content storyboarding, and execution planning so as to drive employee engagement. - Draft and edit written materials, such as policy reminders, training content, focused on ethics and compliance topics for employees. - Apply strategic planning tools to organize and present campaign information, timelines, and priorities, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of initiatives. - Assist with data tracking and analysis to evaluate the reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns and training programs. - Provide project management and administrative support, including coordination of events, logistics, and documentation, with strong attention to detail. - Contribute to multimedia and creative projects, such as internal campaigns or promotional videos, bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to enhance audience engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in a relevant field, such as Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Law, Public Relations, or a related discipline. - Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to craft compelling content for diverse audiences. - Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently on projects. - Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. - Proficiency in digital communication platforms and collaboration tools. Preferred Qualifications: - Understanding of basic marketing principles (e.g., audience segmentation, campaign planning) and the ability to apply them to internal campaigns. - Experience in managing or creating content for internal communications platforms, such as wikis, internal social media channels, or newsletters. - Proficiency in video/visual production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, CapCut, Canva). Experience in motion graphics or animation is a bonus. - Has the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion; - Familiarity with analytics or measuring engagement and performance of communication initiatives, is an advantage.
