Team Introduction: As part of Bytedance's wider International Tax Team, the International Tax Business Partner (ITBP) team works hand-in-hand with the International Tax Country Manager (ITCM) team to deliver quality tax advice for all of Bytedance's international products and services. In addition to supporting Bytedance's business teams on tax matters, the ITBP works closely with a diverse group of internal stakeholders (including but not limited to Legal, Finance, Government/Public Relations, Procurement, etc.) to ensure that important tax inputs and feedback are provided promptly across all aspects of ByteDance’s operations, as needed. Position Summary: Bytedance is seeking an enthusiastic International Tax Business Partner to join the ITBP team in Singapore, to support its rapid global business growth. This position will be based in Singapore or Beijing. The ideal candidate has experience in both direct & indirect taxes in multi-jurisdiction and possesses strong tax technical skills in order to work seamlessly together with colleagues in cross-functions (e.g. legal, finance and etc) to support our business teams to develop comprehensive and practical tax solutions. Responsibilities: - Build the tax plan/strategy by anticipating, identifying, evaluating, and monitoring the tax risks and opportunities for cloud service business lines and other digital service product lines within the group. - Communicate efficiently with the Internal tax network to alert and raise awareness of tax matters relating to business projects and risks. - Provide tax advice across various product lines and jurisdictions in developing and implementing comprehensive and practical tax solutions, contributing to overall effectiveness of business. - Coordinate with regional/country tax manager, to share latest business updates and develop specific tax solutions together with the local team. - Evaluates the financial and fiscal impacts in order to have a better view of the tax challenges. - Monitor the changes and updates of tax legislation and assess the impact on business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - At least 5 years of relevant working experience with international tax experience in large multinational corporations and/or accounting firms. - Proficiency in Mandarin is essential; given the role involves frequent communication with Chinese stakeholders based in Mandarin-speaking markets. - Solid understanding and hands on work experience on international tax matters. - Ability to work effectively in a complex business environment. - Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the Cloud service industry is preferred. - Ability to lead complex projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
