Responsibilities
About The Team The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of sanctions screening activities, including OFAC and information-sharing alerts, ensuring alerts are reviewed, resolved, and documented in line with regulatory and internal standards. - Act as a key escalation point for potential true matches, complex cases, and judgement calls, partnering closely with Compliance, Legal, and relevant business stakeholders. - Ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness of sanctions screening outcomes through coaching, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Build strong partnerships with businesses to drive and accelerate the execution of sanctions programs that directly impact business performance. - Stay at the forefront of key regulatory changes to ensure proactive communication with business and implement appropriate policy and framework to manage the change - Be an active part of working groups aimed at enhancing sanctions compliance programs. Contribute to the development and implementation of improved processes
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Deep knowledge of OFAC, UN and EU regulations and Sanctions - Excellent analytical skills and time management - Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years experience in sanction screening and review - Strong sense of urgency, accuracy and accountability; responsive to time sensitive needs
