Team Introduction The Data Infrastructure - ByteCloud team builds and operates ByteDance's internal cloud platform, providing the foundational cloud infrastructure that powers products and services used by billions of users worldwide. ByteCloud delivers a comprehensive cloud platform covering the entire service lifecycle; from application development and deployment to service governance, multi-cloud management, and observability. Our platform enables engineering teams across ByteDance to build, deploy, and operate large-scale distributed systems with high reliability, scalability, and efficiency. By joining the ByteCloud team, you'll work on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and platform engineering technologies while solving complex technical challenges at global scale. Together, we build the cloud foundation that supports innovation across ByteDance. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals. What You Will Be Doing: - Design, develop, and optimize the core platform services and ecosystem components; - Collaborate with AI infrastructure teams to integrate specialized tooling and execution environments; - Continuously improve platform efficiency and cost-effectiveness through system optimization; - Establish and enforce platform engineering best practices across internal product lines;
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing a degree/master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Proficiency in Go/Python/Rust/Typescript and strong systems programming skills. - Deep understanding of Linux, networking (TCP/IP, HTTP), and distributed systems. - Experience in infrastructure products (e.g., monitoring, logging, service mesh, storage). - Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and large-scale system design.
